• Analyzes, reviews, evaluates and guides performance of IC elements effectively through communication, consultation, and education.
• Prepares and implements IC action plans that are in compliance with program objectives, and applicable Department of Defense, Air Force, national, and local regulatory guidance.
• Uses appropriate data-gathering instruments and accurately applies survey techniques to effectively identify infection and process compliance data.
• Researches and effectively applies evidence-based practices and standards based upon local and national IC guidelines and statistics.
• Uses surveillance and epidemiologic methods that comply with higher headquarters and civilian agency guidance to achieve organization and customer needs.

• Must be a healthcare professional and graduate of a baccalaureate degree program from a nationally recognized accreditation agency and working in a healthcare field related to baccalaureate degree; e.g., Nursing, Epidemiology, Microbiology.
• A minimum of 6 to 12 months of clinical experience within the last 36 Experience in a primary care setting or inpatient setting with at least 12 months of family practice experience is highly desirable.

• Certification in Healthcare Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is mandatory within two years of hire for continued employment. Must be able to obtain, maintain, and renew certification as required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
